Corsock Free, United Free kirk session
A secession church court. It began as a Free Church in 1851 which had started as a preaching station connected with Kirkpatrick-Durham which sat within the Presbytery of Dumfries and later the United Free Presbytery of Kirkcudbright. It was established in 1851 by Alexander Murray Dunlop of Corsock. The congregation passed to the United Free Church in 1900, and to the Church of Scotland (as Corsock Murray-Dunlop Church of Scotland) in 1929. Corsock Murray-Dunlop was later united in 1931 with the congregation of Corsock Maxwell, under the name of Corsock Church of Scotland.
