Castle Douglas kirk session
A Church of Scotland quoad sacra parish. It sat within the presbytery of Kirkcudbright and the synod of Galloway. In 1866 a mission station begun and the church was opened in 1869. In 1873 the parish was disjoined quoad sacra from the parishes of Kelton and Crossmichael.
