Jedburgh kirk session
A church court that sat within the presbytery of Jedburgh and synod of Merse and Teviotdale. It was sometimes referred to of old as Jedworth or Jedart. Jedburgh Abbey was established in around 1118 for the Augustinian Order. Following the reformation, a portion of the Abbey was used as the parish church.
