Ecclefechan Free, United Free, Church of Scotland kirk session
A secession church court. The congregation was formed in the wake of the Disruption in 1843 and sanctioned in 1845. In 1900 it became part of the United Free Church as Ecclefechan (East), while the former United Presbyterian charge became Ecclefechan (West). Both charges united in 1915 as Ecclefechan and joined the Church of Scotland in 1929. This charge united with Hoddam in 1956, and the united charge was linked with Brydekirk in 1972.
