Hawick kirk session
The church of Hawick, record of which exists as early as 1183, received a dedication to St Mary in 1214. In 1884 a new church was erected to serve the parish of Hawick, while the old church, which had been built in 1764, became the church of the quoad sacra parish of Hawick St Mary's.
