GREENOCK - EAST KIRK SESSION

A church was built to serve the district of East Greenock in 1774 and the parish was later disjoined by the Commissioners for the Plantation of Kirks from that of the West Parish of Greenock in 1809. The East Church was later rebuilt in 1853. The congregation of Greenock East Kirk Session, which sat within the jurisdiction of the Presbytery of Greenock, was dissolved on the 31st December 1973.
