Greenock West kirk session
A church court that sat within the presbytery of Greenock and the synod of Glasgow and Ayr. The church was built in 1591, and was erected as a separate parish by disjunction from the parish of Inverkip in 1594. In 1809 it became known as Greenock West. In 1857 part of the parish was removed to form the quoad sacra to the parish of Gourock.
