Girthon kirk session
A church court that sat within the presbytery of Kirkcudbright, later of Dumfries and Kirkcudbright, and the synod of Galloway. The church of Girthon belonged, prior to the Reformation, to the Bishop of Galloway and the session records ministry from 1567.
