Ellon kirk session
A church court that sat within the presbytery of Ellon and the synod of Aberdeen. It is believed that Robert I, during the early part of his reign, gave over the patronage of the Church of Ellon to the Abbey of Kinloss. The church was originally dedicated to St Mary and there is ministry recorded at Ellon from 1567.
