Edinburgh - New Street (quoad sacra) kirk session

A Church of Scotland quoad sacra parish. It sat within the presbytery of Edinburgh and the synod of Lothian and Tweeddale. It opened in 1794 as a chapel of ease of Canongate Kirk. It was established as parish quoad sacra in 1834. At the time of the Disruption the minister and most of the congregation joined the Free Church and established Canongate Free Church. No new minister was appointed at Edinburgh New Street and the charge was abolished in 1884.
