Edinburgh - St Mary's kirk session

A church court that sat within the presbytery of Edinburgh and the synod of Lothian and Tweeddale. The church of St Mary's, Edinburgh, originally known as Bellevue, was opened in 1824 as a burgh church. Built by the city of Edinburgh, it was erected in compliance with the act of parliament of 1809, which required provision to be made for churches in the north section of the New Town.
