Edinburgh - Lady Yester's kirk session

A church court that sat within the presbytery of Edinburgh and the synod of Lothian and Tweeddale. It was founded by Margaret, Lady Yester, before 1647. It was erected into a parish by the town council in 1655, its area being subtracted from the Tron parish. The minister was deprived of his charge in 1662, and the parish reannexed to the south-east parish. Lady Yester's was re-erected in 1691.
