Edinburgh - Leith St John's Free, United Free, Church of Scotland kirk session
A secession church court. It originated as a Free Church in 1843 when the minister and the congregation of St John's quoad sacra parish came out at the Disruption. The congregation passed to the United Free Church in 1900, and shortly afterwards was joined with the congregation of Elder Memorial. The congregation passed to the Church of Scotland in 1929, as Leith St John's West, and was united with Leith St John's East in 1954, under the name of Leith St John's. In 1956 Leith St John's was transported to the church extension parish of Oxgangs, under the name of St John's Oxgangs.
