Edinburgh - Gilmore Place United Presbyterian, United Free kirk session

A secession church court. The congregation was founded in 1859 as a mission church. Its first home was in the Vennel, in the building formerly occupied by Edinburgh - Portsburgh (Associate) congregation. The Portsburgh congregation changed its name to Edinburgh - Lauriston Place on its removal there in 1859. The new mission congregation retained the name of Portsburgh until it moved to a newly built church in Gilmore Place in 1881. It was dissolved in 1921.
