Edinburgh - Bread Street Relief, United Presbyterian kirk session

A secession church court. The congregation was formed in 1831. In 1844 the second minister in the charge left with a large part of the congregation to form North Richmond Street church (United Associate Session, then United Presbyterian). The remaining congregation, which also passed to the United Presbyterian Church, continued to worship at Bread Street until 1883, when it removed to a new church building at Viewforth. In 1900 the congregation became part of the United Free Church and changed its name to Bruntsfield United Free Church.
