Cumbernauld Free kirk session

A secession church court. It began as an original secession congregation about 1737, becoming a Burgher congregation in 1747 and rejoining the Church of Scotland in 1839 as Cumbernauld - East mission chapel. In 1843 it seceded to the Free Church, in 1900 it joined the United Free Church (as Cumbernauld - Bridgend). In 1920 it united with Cumbernauld - Baird (United Free) as Cumbernauld (United Free), which in due course joined the Church of Scotland in 1929.
