Edinburgh - Corstorphine kirk session
A church court that sat within the presbytery of Edinburgh and the synod of Lothian and Tweeddale. It became recognised as a parish in 1587 and united with Gogar parish in 1599. Subsequently, Ravelston and Saughton areas were added to Corstorphine parish in 1630 from St Cuthbert’s. During the Disruption great parts of the congregation joined the Free Church and formed Corstorphine Free Church, later St Ninian’s.
