Comrie kirk session

A church court that sat within the presbytery of Auchterarder and the synod of Perth and Stirling. The old church of Comrie was dedicated to St Kessog and formerly belonged to the Abbey of Paisley. During the sixteenth century the ancient parishes of Tullichetil and Dundurn were joined to Comrie, but in 1894 Dundurn was severed once again. Ministry is recorded from 1567.
