A secession church court. It began as a United Secession congregation in 1836. It became a United Presbyterian church in 1847. In 1900, following the union of the Free Church and the United Presbyterians, Chirnside United Presbyterian Church was renamed Chirnside Erskine United Free Church and in 1919 Chirnside Erskine united with the congregation of Chirnside West, under the name of Chirnside United Free Church.
