Boyndie kirk session

A church court that sat within the presbytery of Fordyce and the synod of Aberdeen. The church of Boyndie, which was known of old as Inverboyndie, was dedicated to St Breandan and belonged anciently to the Abbey of Arbroath. In addition to the old church, which was rebuilt in 1773, there also existed within the bounds of the parish a mission chapel at Whitehill.
