Newarthill United Presbyterian, United Free, Church of Scotland kirk session

A secession church court. It began as an Antiburgher congregation in 1802 in the parish of Bothwell, to which came secessionist parishioners in Hamilton, Shotts, Bothwell and New Monkland. In 1820 it joined the United Secession Church, in 1847 it joined the United Presbyterian Church, in 1900 it joined the United Free Church and in 1929 it joined the Church of Scotland.
