Bo'ness kirk session
A church court that sat within the presbytery of Linlithgow and the synod of Lothian and Tweeddale. Its full name is Borrowstouness. It was granted to Holyrood Abbey in the middle of the twelfth century. In 1643 a church was erected within the parish of Kinneil at Bo'ness. In 1649 Bo'ness church was disjoined from Kinneil and erected into a separate parish. In 1669 the parishes of Kinneil and Bo'ness were reunited and took on the name of Bo'ness.Records available
