Lauder Associate (Burgher), United Presbyterian kirk session

A secession church court. It was founded in 1796 as a Burgher congregation in the Associate Synod. In 1824, on the demission of the first minister, it united with the Antiburgher congregation in Lauder to become part of the United Secession Church. It passed to the United Free Church in 1900 and became known as Lauder West. In 1908 the former Free Church congregation, Lauder East, united with Lauder West. The charge passed to the Church of Scotland in 1929 and was dissolved in 1955.
