Banchory-Devenick kirk session

A church court that sat within the presbytery and synod of Aberdeen. Banchory-Devenick was dedicated to St Deavanach and was formerly a prebend of Aberdeen. The session records ministry from 1560. In 1856 part of the ecclesiastical parish was disjoined to form the quoad sacra parish of Portlethe, while in 1886 another part was disjoined to form the quoad sacra parish of Craigiebuckler. In 1894 a third part was removed to form part of the quoad sacra parish of Cults West.
