Ayr - Darlington Place United Presbyterian, United Free, Church of Scotland kirk session
A secession church court. It began as a secession congregation based in Tarbolton, who lived in or near Ayr, and were disjoined and formed into a separate Associate (Burgher) congregation within the Associate Presbytery of Kilmarnock in 1797. In its early stages it was known as Wallacetown Church and became a United Presbyterian church in 1847, a United Free church (as Ayr Darlington) in 1900, and in 1929 joined the Church of Scotland. In 1948 it united with Wallacetown South as Ayr Darlington New.
