Muirkirk United Presbyterian, United Free kirk session
A secession church court. It began as a United Associate congregation in 1820. The congregation passed to the United Presbyterian Church in 1847 and to the United Free Church in 1900, as Muirkirk Main Street United Free. In 1915, it united with Chalmers Church to form Muirkirk United Free. The congregation then passed to the Church of Scotland in 1929, as Muirkirk Wellwood, and united with Muirkirk Old to form Muirkirk in 1947.
