Saltcoats - St Cuthberts kirk session

A Church of Scotland quoad sacra parish. It sat within the presbytery of of Irvine and later of Ardrossan, and the synod of Glasgow and Ayr. In 1744 the location of Ardrossan parish church moved to the town of Saltcoats. In 1844 a new church was erected in Ardrossan and named New Ardrossan parish church. The old parish church of Ardrossan (in Saltcoats) ceased to be used as a place of worship in 1908 and a new church was erected, which became Saltcoats St Cuthbert's.
