Arbroath kirk session

A church court that sat within the presbytery of Arbroath and the synod of Angus and Mearns. It was originally part of St Vigean's parish, but it disjoined around 1585. Several quoad sacra parishes were disjoined from the parish of Arbroath in the late nineteenth century (Inverbrothock in 1855, Ladyloan in 1865, Abbey in 1869, and St. Margaret's and Auchmithie in 1886).
