Annan presbytery

A higher court of the Church of Scotland. It was in the synod of Dumfries. It was formerly known as Middlebie until 1743, at which point much of the presbytery was removed to form the presbytery of Langholm. At the same time the presbytery was augmented by the parishes of Cummertrees and Ruthwell from the presbytery of Lochmaben.
