Ord kirk session

A church court that sat within the presbytery of Fordyce and synod of Aberdeen. A Church of Scotland quoad sacra parish. It began as a chapel in 1836. Ord was erected in 1869, when it was disjoined from the parishes of Banff, Alvah, Boyndie and Marnoch. The parish of Ord was partly united with the congregation of Alvah between 1954 until 1961. The Church of Scotland kirk session for Ord sat within the presbytery of Fordyce, later of Strathbogie and Fordyce, and later of Buchan.
