Abernyte Free, United Free kirk session
A secession church court. It began as a Free Church parish in 1843. In 1845 the charge combined with the preaching station at Rait in the Presbytery of Perth and sanctioned by the General Assembly under the name Abernyte and Rait Free Church. Abernyte Free became Abernyte United Free church in 1900 and Abernyte South Church of Scotland in 1929.
