ABERNETHY KIRK SESSION
A church court that sat within the presbytery of Perth and the synod of Perth and Stirling. An ecclesiastical site since Pictish times, it was dedicated to St Bride and formerly belonged to the Abbey of Arbroath. In 1460 it was granted a collegiate endowment by George, Earl of Angus.
