A Church of Scotland presbytery. It was in the synod of Moray. Until 1709 it was united sometimes with the presbytery of Aberlour. In 1719 the presbytery of Aberlour was supressed and some of its parishes transferred to the presbytery of Abernethy. Aberlour was re-erected in 1727.
