Aberdeen - Trinity Free, United Free, Church of Scotland kirk session
A secession church court. It was originally founded around 1750 as a missionary chapel in the parish of Aberdeen - St Nicholas, on the site of the old convent built by the Brethren of the Holy Trinity or Red Friars in 1211. (The original Trinity Church was closed and sold in 1846, although a new parish was created in 1877 by disjunction from Aberdeen - St Nicholas and a new church built.) Trinity Free Church became a United Free Church charge in 1900 and a Church of Scotland parish in 1929, retaining the name Trinity. the parish united with Aberdeen - St Mark's in 1981.
