And they all being weill & ryplie advised Did this Day Unani
-mouslie with one voice Elect nominatt & appoynt the s[ai]d John
Hamilton to be thair Comon town Clerk of thair Burgh of
Rothesay during thair and thair success[ou]rs in offices will and
pleasour And Did and hereby doeth Conffer upon him
the haill Fees proffeitts & Emolumentts pertaining or known
to pertain & belong to the said office of Clerkship And In
Testimonie of this our Act Wee the provost Baillies
& remnantt members of the Counsell have sub[scrib]ed thir presentts
place day moneth & year forsaid
