The Scotland's People image library contains a selection of archive photographs, illustrations from records and important documents from the National Records of Scotland (NRS).

All the photographs in the image library are Crown copyright and when you buy a high quality tiff image from the image library it comes with permission to use it in the following ways:

• book, journal, magazine, newspaper, publication, broadcast
• online use is limited to a maximum of 20 images per website
• display/exhibition/talk/presentation

The material must be reproduced accurately, not be used in a misleading context and NRS must be acknowledged.
