Cathcart

A parish partly in the county of Renfrew and partly in the county of Lanark. It was a quoad omnia parish (a parish for civil and religious purposes). In 1891 the Boundary Commissioners transferred the Lanarkshire part of the civil parish to East Kilbride parish, while the rest of Cathcart remained wholly in Renfrew county. In 1892 parts of Cathcart were annexed by the city of Glasgow.
