Angus

A county in the east of Scotland, also known as Forfarshire. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.

Angus and Mearns synod

A Church of Scotland synod. It contained the presbyteries of Arbroath, Brechin, Dundee, Fordoun, Forfar, and Meigle.

Coupar Angus

A parish partly in the county of Perth and partly in the county of Angus. It was a quoad omnia parish (a parish for civil and religious purposes). In 1891 the Boundary Commissioners placed the civil parish wholly in the county of Perth.
