A parish in the county of Inverness. It was a quoad omnia parish (a parish for civil and religious purposes). The parish was united with Boleskine in 1614, then disjoined and united with Glenmoriston in 1676. In 1688 this union was severed and the parish

A Church of Scotland presbytery. It was in the synod of Argyll and was formed in 1724. In the twentieth century its name was changed to Lochaber.

Boleskine and Abertarff

A parish in the county of Inverness. The parish of Abertarff or Kilchuimin was annexed into Boleskine between 1614 until 1676, and from 1688 thereafter. It was a quoad omnia parish (a parish for civil and religious purposes). The boundaries of the civil parish were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
