Poser 317 - Deaths in Edinburgh, 1776

This poser is taken from the Old Parish Registers and relates to deaths in Edinburgh in 1776 (Crown copyright, National Records of Scotland, OPR Deaths 692/02 0280 0236). It includes the record of David Hume's death. The numbers on the right refer to the age of the person at the time of death.

Since this is a late eighteenth century hand, the minister used only a few secretary hand letters such as the letter s. Watch out for abbreviations and the letters p and f.
