In this poser, taken from the minutes of the burgh head court of Culross, (ON at Fife Archives, B-CUL1/1/2, reproduced here with permission of ON at Fife Archives), we asked where and when the head court was held, and who the baillies were.

Answer: The head court was held in Culross tolbooth (the tolbuithe of the samyne), on 7th November 1656 (Sevint day of November Jajvjc~ and fyftie six yeiris). The baillies were George Wilsoun, William Hewisone and William Pearsone.
