 John Hamilton, Lord Belhaven CC8/8/84 [p.617] John Lord Belhaven 27th Ja[nua]ry 1710 The Testament Dative and Inventary of the debts and Summs of money pertaining belonging and addebted to umq[uhi]le John Lord Bellhaven the tyme of his decease who Deceased at London in the moneth of Jm vijC and vij [1707] years Faithfully made and given up by John now Lord Beillhaven Son to the said umqle John Lord Beillhaven and only Exe[cuto]r Dative Decerned as neerest in kin to the s[ai]d Defunct by Decreet of the Comissars of Ed[inbu]r[gh] as the Samen of the date the xxj day of Dece[mbe]r Jm vijC and nyne years in itself more fully proports In the First their was addebted and resting oweing to the sd umqle John Lord Beillhaven the tyme of his decease for[e]s[ai]d by the Queens Majesty and Government the Debts and Summs of money Following Vi[delice]zt the Summ of jC lv £ib[ra] iiij ß[olidus] viij d[enarius] Sterl[ing] of pay arrears and clearings due to the sd Defunct as captain of a troop of horss [p.618] Item more the Summ of lxviij £ xiiij ß Sterl[ing] for arrears of Retention and cloathing to the forsd troop Extending the sd Summs to ijC xxiij £ xvij ß viij [d] Sterl[ing] and in Scots money to the Summ of ijm vjC lxxxvij £ iiij ß which two Summs are now payable in their due and proper classes by the Commissioners named be her majesty for manageing and Disposing of the equivalent Summa of the Debts oweing to the Dead ___ ijm vjC lxxvij £ iiij ß Sir James Elphinston & Understanding & we Decern & whereupon John Malcolme Servitor to the Lord Beilhaven became cau[tione]r as ane act bears
