The marriage record for Paul Oskar Hennersdorf and Erzebet Racz - Glasgow, 10 June 1938

Paul Oskar Hennersdorf and Erzebet Racz were performers at the Empire Exhibition, which took place at Bellahouston Park in Glasgow in 1938. In the marriage record (included below), Hennersdorf gives his occupation as a violinist, and Racz lists her profession as a dancer. The couple's usual address is given as 'Bellahouston Park'.

Interestingly, a newspaper story (included below) on the wedding ceremony reported that the bridegroom 'seemed confused in his answers'. The same newspaper report from 11 June 1938 also describes the two performers as being 'midgets'.

Included below is the official record of the marriage, and also a newspaper clipping that reports on the ceremony – just click on the link or thumbnail image of the marriage record to see a full-size version of the document.
